Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony & Toys for Tots

Every year during the Christmas Season, Char Steakhouse hosts an annual tree lighting ceremony! The event will feature the famous Dickens Carolers, a visit from Santa himself, and free cocoa and refreshments served by Char’s lovely Snow Bunnies. St. Anne’s Church, Monsignor Corona and the Mayor will be delivering a holiday address and a portion of Char’s December proceeds go to benefiting the church’s social Ministry Program to help local families in need. The highlight of the evening will be the lighting of the 77 foot Norwegian Spruce, one of the tallest decorated tree’s in New Jersey. It is designed by the world-famous Torsilieri Family just like the tree that adorns Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Most importantly, participators will have the opportunity to drop off a new, unwrapped toy donation for Toys for Tots.

Toys for Tots is a national organization dedicated to helping less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas, as well as unite all members of local communities into a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution.
